I remember sitting at the bar with Sam after work a couple of years ago as we threw ourselves a little pity party questioning why it was so hard for us to find our person. We vowed to not settle for anything less than we deserved and kept going through life. Here we are well over 6 years later celebrating Sam and Jay’s Wedding. I remember first hearing about Jay, and quite honestly thought it was just another guy in Sam’s life… But then he never left. Being states away, I never had a chance to get to know him, but he stuck around and I saw how happy Sam was with him. They’re wedding day was the first time I not only got to only see the kind of man Jay was, but the kind of father he was and the kind of husband he was going to be. It wasn’t long before I found out that this badass, but goofy, charismatic, hardworking, life of the party guys was the perfect man for Sam. The way he loved her, cracked jokes with and at her – it was as if they’d been best friends for a lifetime.
